This Week's Demo with Heirloom Restaurant
It’s Opening Day
at the Historic Lewes Farmers Market!
Join us this Saturday for the Opening Day of the Historic Lewes Farmers Market's 19th season! Customers who want to ring in the new Market season should be at the Market at 8am. Vendors will be bringing juicy strawberries, freshly cut asparagus, lettuces and greens including beautiful varieties of romaine, baby kale, Bok Choy, arugula, Swiss chard, salad and stir fry mixes, starter plants including heirloom tomatoes, herbs, fig trees, and various veggies. Customers will also find a great selection of eggs, milk, butter, beef, pork, chicken, live crabs or hand-picked crab meat, oysters, mushrooms, honey, jams, breads, pastries, kombucha, cold-pressed juices, cut-flower bouquets, veggie and herb plants, and more!

We open our season of Saturday demos at the Market with beloved Lewes and HLFM favorite, Heirloom Restaurant. Heirloom is a true farm-to-table restaurant. For years, owner Meghan Lee has worked with local small farmers to bring the best seasonal ingredients to her customers. At 10 am, the Heirloom Restaurant team will demo a first of the season asparagus salad with pickled peas and fennel, strawberries, shaved breakfast radishes, crumbled feta cheese, house cured lonzino, with a strawberry vinaigrette. This Chef Demonstration will feature beautiful fresh produce from Market vendors including Fifer Orchards, Fox Briar Farm, Kalmar Farm, and Nash Veggies. There's always sampling at the end, and clear instructions on how to prepare the same dish using ingredients from the Market. Don't miss this special Opening Day Demo!
