CAMP Rehoboth and Clear Space Theatre invite you to learn more about the Welcoming Schools program, a data-driven, comprehensive bullying prevention program developed by the Human Rights Campaign. Dr. Michael Young (Supervisor of Secondary Education) and Amanda Archambault (Supervisor of Elementary Education) from Cape Henlopen School District will discuss the program and lead everyone in one of the activities that is part of the program.
The Welcoming Schools program is recognized as one of the most comprehensive bias-based bullying prevention programs in the nation. Welcoming Schools is the most comprehensive bias-based bullying prevention in the nation. The program provides LGBTQ+ and gender-inclusive professional development training, lesson plans, book lists, and resources specifically designed for educators and youth-serving professionals. In addition to learning about the Welcoming Schools program, Joe Gfaller, Managing Director at Clear Space Theatre, will join the stage to speak about the production, Everybody’s Talking about Jamie, and how the show and the arts illustrate support for the work that is happening in the Cape Henlopen School District.
