Join the Rehoboth Art League for a day trip to the beautiful Winterthur Museum, Gardens, and Library, located in the heart of Delaware’s stunning Brandywine Valley, on Thursday, May 22.

Advanced tickets are required for the trip and cost $80 per person. Ticket holders will be taken to the museum via a Jolly Trolley coach bus, which will leave at 8:30am sharp from the Rehoboth Beach Fresh Market parking lot, with check-in beginning at 8:15am. The bus will begin its return trip to Rehoboth at 2:00pm, with arrival expected by 4:30pm.

Winterthur is the premier museum of American decorative arts, with an unparalleled collection of nearly 90,000 objects made or used in America since 1640. The collection is displayed in the magnificent 175-room house, much as it was when the family of founder Henry Francis du Pont called it home.

Winterthur also boasts 1,000 acres of protected meadows, woodlands, ponds, and waterways. The 60-acre garden, designed by du Pont, is among America’s best, with magnificent plantings and massive displays of color throughout the year. Winterthur has 25 miles of well-marked paths and trails and lush gardens for you to explore. With your ticket, you can take a 30-minute narrated Garden Tram Tour to see the highlights of the garden and learn the history of Winterthur. The tour begins at the Visitor Center and ends at the museum, with a stop at Enchanted Woods.

Attendees will have lunch on their own at the Winterthur Visitor Center Café, which serves a variety of grab-and-go sandwiches, wraps, and salads; specialty hot foods, sweet treats, and assorted beverages are also available.
