The Delaware Symphony Orchestra (DSO) is the only professional orchestra in the First State. This year marks our landmark 120th season with the DSO’s new Music Director, Michelle Di Russo, conducting. Maestra Di Russo was chosen for the position out of nearly 150 candidates from around the world and will continue the DSO’s great tradition of entertaining our audiences that began over 100 years ago.

The DSO annually welcomes accomplished guest artists to join the orchestra in performances of pieces by the world’s most celebrated composers and provides engaging programs for children and adults. We have traveled to perform for international audiences and have recorded two Latin GRAMMY®-nominated albums. Each season, we perform two Mainstage Series (full orchestra) concerts in Lewes at the Cape Henlopen High School.
