First Tee – Delaware is a nonprofit organization that uses golf as the vehicle to teach life skills to youth. We are one of 150 chapters in the First Tee Network and we expose over 30,000 kids in Delaware and four neighboring counties to the game of golf and its positive values. We reach kids in three ways. The first is through our school program which makes golf a part of the PE curriculum at over 60 elementary and middles schools in Delaware & Maryland, including all five Cape Henlopen Elementary Schools. The second is through our community program which brings our curriculum to over 30 community centers and youth group partners including three Sussex County Boys & Girls Clubs and the Sussex Family YMCA. Finally, our third and most impactful program is our LIfe Skills on-course program. We partner with over 20 golf courses to bring our life skill program to kids.
