The Wednesday Market has doubled since last year, and sixteen farmers/producers will bring the first Bennett blueberries of the season, snap peas, strawberries, spinach, arugula, fresh-cut asparagus, lettuces, kale, turnips, radishes, shucked and unshucked oysters, honey, mushrooms, grass fed beef, pasture raised chicken, beef jerky, pork, lamb, eggs, herb, veggie, and flower plants, fresh-baked breads, pastries made with fruit from the Market, gluten-free offerings, donuts, ice cream, jams and jellies, beautiful cut-flower bouquets, and so much more!
New Wednesday Market vendors include Anya’s Homestead from Ellendale, DE with a eggs and a vibrant mix of heirloom varieties of herbs, fruits, and vegetables and Cross Farms from Berlin, MD with a wide selection of vegetables and fruits grown with a focus on soil health and sustainability, as well as farm eggs. Returning to the Wednesday Market is Bodine Farms from Hartly, DE with pasture-raised, high-quality cuts of beef, pork, and lamb. Frozen Farmer ice cream truck, Kahiau’s Bakery, and Nancy James Oysters will now be at the
Wednesday Market as well, joining the returning Bennett Orchards, Cosmic Dog Farm, Davidson’s Exotic Mushrooms, Dittmar Family Farms, Dream Catcher Homestead, Kalmar Farm, Old World Breads, the Point Coffee House and Bakery, Stag Run Farm, and Summer Moments Floral.
The Historic Lewes Farmers Market is unique in that it is producer-only—at this Market, customers buy directly from the farmer who grew the produce. Only vendors who grow, raise, or produce what they sell are allowed in this market. A true farmers market!
