Farmers and volunteers will be decked out in ghoulish attire and customers are encouraged to also come in costume for a fun Fall Market! Prizes will be given to vendors for best costumes and best decorated tent, and to customers for best costumes. There are Halloween party favors for kids at the Info Tent, and much more.

This Saturday also brings the Beebe Healthcare team to the Historic Lewes Farmers Market. Beebe Cape Pharmacy will be offering flu vaccinations and Beebe’s Community Outreach team will be providing free health screenings including blood pressure, glucose, and cholesterol. To receive a flu vaccination, please bring a government issued ID and insurance card.

Customers looking for fresh local cauliflower, broccoli, green beans, carrots, pumpkins, ghosts, and goblins will find them all at this Saturday’s Fall Market. The harvest is in, and Market farmers are also bringing varieties of beets—golden Detroit and red; squash—acorn, black Futsu, butternut, and spaghetti; and radishes—French Breakfast, Easter egg, and white; alongside cabbage, collard greens, kale, red potatoes, sweet potatoes, lettuces, pears, apples, turnips, eggplants, radicchio, mizuna, arugula, microgreens, kohlrabi, sweet and hot peppers, local salt, seasonal soups, oysters, live crabs, hand-picked crabmeat, grass-fed chicken, beef, pork, mushrooms, honey, jams and jellies, freshly-laid eggs, coffee drinks, kombucha, apple cider, fresh-baked breads, pastries made with fruit from Market farmers, gluten-free offerings, apple cider donuts, beautiful cut-flower bouquets, pumpkin centerpieces, and much more! Customers can also pre-order their fresh, free-range Thanksgiving turkeys from Mahon River Farm as well as holiday hams from Enoch Farms.

The HLFM is unique in that it is producer-only—customers connect directly with the farmer who grew the produce and raised the animals to buy their local fruit, veggies, eggs, and meats. This Market is where the farmers are—the most farmers in any farmers market in Delmarva!

Please note that dogs and other pets (except for service animals) are not permitted inside the Market. This is to ensure the safety of customers, vendors, and volunteers.

The HLFM encourages customers that are able to bike or walk to the Market. Entrance for walkers and bikers is off Savannah Road. Parking is available in the school’s bus loop parking lot off of Sussex Drive–with coned off accessible parking spaces in the section closest to the Market. Customers may also use the Fred Thomas Middle School parking lot. Beebe Hospital also generously allows Market customers to park in its outside parking lot, and there is parking available at George H.P. Smith Park, a short walk on the path to Lewes Elementary School.

The HLFM continues its Food Pantry Purchase Program. HLFM customers who want to help feed the local community every Saturday may purchase local produce, meat, and other food directly from growers at the Market to donate to this program, or through donations at the HLFM Information tent. At the end of the Market, the produce and other foods are gathered and given to food pantries including Epworth and Casa San Francisco. The HLFM thanks its customers for their generosity.

The Market accepts SNAP, WIC, and SFMNP benefits, and continues to match SNAP up to $20 per market, per customer. Please go to the SNAP tent to process SNAP/EBT.

Customers should mark their calendars! On Saturday, November 8th, it’s Customer Appreciation Day at the Market, so be sure to stop by the Market for a free brownie bite, apple cider, and more. Visitors are encouraged to bring donations, as well as make purchases at the Market, on November 15th and 22nd for the HLFM Annual Food and Essentials Drive. Saturday, November 22nd is also the Thanksgiving Market, and then after a Saturday off, December 6th ends the season with a special Holiday Market.

The HLFM thanks The Lee Ann Wilkinson Group for their continued support of the Market, especially for this special season, as 2025 HLFM Market Champion.
