At the Market this Saturday, 35 local farmers and producers will also bring zucchini, summer squash, sugar snap peas, carrots, potatoes, lettuces, kale, spinach, arugula, collard greens, beets, radishes, sour cherries, oysters, live crabs, hand-picked crabmeat, grass-fed chicken, lamb, beef, pork, honey, jams, mushrooms, freshly-laid eggs, coffee drinks, kombucha, cold-pressed juices, fresh-baked breads, pastries made with fruit from the vendors at the Market, gluten-free offerings, donuts, ice cream treats, herb, veggie, and flower plants, beautiful cut-flower bouquets, and much more!
Abbott’s Grill to Demo at 10am
Executive Chef Paul Gallo from Abbott’s Grill will feature fresh, seasonal ingredients from Market farmers in a Market Demonstration at the Demo Tent at 10am, preparing a strawberry sweet and sour pork bao bun with pickled vegetables.
Currently, Paul serves as the Culinary Director for 5 o’Clock Concepts and also acts as the Executive Chef for their newest venture, Abbotts Grill at Paynters Mill. Chef Paul and the staff at Abbott’s Grill take pride in serving fresh, innovative American cuisine sourcing much of what they serve from local farms.
The Historic Lewes Farmers Market is unique in that it is producer-only—at this Market, customers buy directly from the farmer who grew the produce. Only vendors who grow, raise, or produce what they sell are allowed in this market. A true farmers market!
