Ticket sales start this week for our Annual Barn Dance!

(Milton, DE September 17, 2025) Help us raise the roof to raise funds at our annual Barn Dance,
Southern Delaware Therapeutic Riding Center’s BIGGEST event of the year.

On October 18th from 6-10pm at our Stables in Milton, we move aside the hay bales in our indoor riding
arena to make room for a dance floor with the ever-popular Mason Dixon Band, a BBQ dinner with all
the fixings, a premium bourbon tasting station, and a number of coveted items available through our
silent and live auctions.

Each year, our staff of certified instructors and more than 150 local volunteers provide tailored lesson
programs to children and adults living with disabilities. With room to grow, we recently launched a new
equine assisted therapy program for veterans.

The Southern Delaware Therapeutic Riding Center (SDTR) is a volunteer-driven, nonprofit organization
that was established in 1988. Our mission is to improve the physical and emotional wellbeing of
children and adults living with disabilities through equine-assisted services in a supportive environment
for riders and their families. The program serves children and adults with physical and developmental
disabilities such as cerebral palsy, autism, Down syndrome, multiple sclerosis, and head trauma living
in Sussex County, Delaware. SDTR strives to bring the advantages of therapeutic riding and other
