Sussex Strong Announces 1990s-Themed Annual Gala to Benefit Children in Need 

Lewes, DE — October 14, 2025 — Sussex Strong, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting children and families across Sussex County, Delaware, has announced the return of its Annual Gala—this year with a nostalgic 1990s twist. Themed “Party Like It’s 1999,” the event will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. at the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center.

Guests are invited to relive the iconic decade of scrunchies, flannel shirts, and chart-topping hits while supporting a vital cause. Proceeds from the evening will fund Sussex Strong’s annual holiday initiative, which provides Christmas gifts to local children in need.

“This isn’t just a celebration—it’s an opportunity for our community to come together and ensure every child in Sussex County experiences the joy and magic of the holiday season,” said a Sussex Strong representative.

The evening will feature dinner, dancing, and both live and

silent auctions. Individual tickets are available now, and only a few tables remain for those who prefer to secure a dedicated spot for the night’s festivities.

Sussex Strong is currently seeking donations for its auction programs:

• Live Auction Items: High-impact offerings or experiences valued at $1,000 or more, such as vacation homes, luxury packages, or exclusive getaways.
• Silent Auction Items: Unique goods, services, or experiences of any size—every contribution helps make a difference.

In addition to the gala, community members are encouraged to volunteer at Sussex Strong’s annual holiday events:
