One of the area’s most anticipated spring fundraisers returns to Cape Henlopen State Park this month as the Friends of Cape Henlopen State Park (FOCHSP), in partnership with R&L Liquors, host the 18^th Annual Wine, Beer & Cheese Tasting on Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 4-6 pm at the historic Officers’ Club.

Now in its 18^th year, the event draws locals and visitors alike for an afternoon of curated wine and craft beer tastings, paired with gourmet cheeses and hors d’oeuvres–all in support of preserving and enhancing one of Delaware’s most treasured state parks.

R&L Liquors collaborates with top distributors each year to offer a diverse selection of wines and specialty beverages, giving attendees the opportunity to discover new favorites while enjoying a relaxed, social atmosphere inside the park.

Tickets are $35 and available:

• In advance (CASH ONLY) at R&L Liquors (Lewes) and the Cape Henlopen State Park Office (includes park entry–a $10 savings)
• At the door (cash or credit card accepted, park entrance fees apply)

Each ticket includes event admission, a commemorative FOCHSP wine glass, and a tasting card to help guests track and purchase their favorites.  Additional perks include a 10% discount on wine orders placed during the event for later pick up at R&L Liquors, as well as a selection of featured craft beers available for purchase.

Tickets are limited, and advance purchase is encouraged.  Proceeds from the event directly support FOCHSP’s ongoing efforts to protect, preserve, and enhance Cape Henlopen State Park for current and future generations.
