Sentimental Value Opens at The CAT
CAT is continuing their Oscar® season this week with the arrival of Joachim Trier’s Norwegian family drama, Sentimental Value.
Sisters Nora (Renate Reinsve, Best Actress) and Agnes (Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas, Best Supporting Actress) reunite with their estranged father, the charismatic Gustav (Stellan Skarsgård, Best Supporting Actor), a once-renowned director who offers stage actress Nora a role in what he hopes will be his comeback film. When Nora turns it down, she soon discovers he has given her part to the eager young Hollywood starlet, Rachel Kemp (Elle Fanning, Best Supporting Actress).
Sentimental Value has been nominated for 9 Academy Awards®, including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Screenplay, and it opens at CAT on Friday, Feb. 13th at 1:30 pm in the JEMS Theater.
This film joins Ryan Coogler’s SINNERS and MR. NOBODY AGAINST PUTIN, a hopeful for Best Documentary Feature, at the CAT. More Oscar® nominees are still to come, including One Battle After Another, The Secret Agent, Train Dreams, and the nominees for Best Shorts.
