What’s Fresh at the Historic Lewes Farmers Market:
This week, our farmers and producers will bring to Market a wide variety of early Fall produce including squashes, wax beans, potatoes, radishes, eggplant, spring onions, figs, plums, pears, and apples, as well as cherry and slicer tomatoes, lettuce, cucumbers, green beans, peppers, cantaloupes, rainbow chard, arugula, garlic, oysters, live crabs, hand-picked crab meat, crab cakes, honey, jams, mushrooms, chicken, beef, pork, turkey, duck, lamb, freshly laid eggs, ice cream treats, locally roasted coffee and coffee drinks, kombucha, cold-pressed juices, fresh-baked breads, cakes, cookies, pies, and pastries—including vegan and gluten-free selections—made with fruit from vendors at the Market, herb, veggie, and flower plants, fresh-cut herbs, beautiful cut-flower bouquets, and much more.
The HLFM is unique in that it is producer-only—customers connect directly with the farmer who grew the produce and raised the animals to buy their local fruit, veggies, eggs, dairy, and meats. This Market is where the farmers are—the most farmers in any farmers market in the Delmarva!
